Natalie was due on the 12th of November, so my mom bought plane tickets to fly up here later on the 19th, giving us an extra week just in case. Well, Natalie actually arrived on the 16th, and with a couple days in the hospital due to her latching difficulties (we went home after noon on the 18th), she arrived the afternoon of our first full day at home (the 19th).
I was in the bedroom feeding Natalie when she arrived. She decided that it would be best for her to shower after being on a plane for hours with strangers. When we finally got to hug and she got to hold her grand-daughter, lots of tears were shed.

So, I was a bit emotional...for those of you that know me, that is NOT hard to believe! :)

This picture is very dear to my heart. My mom just got her "new" wedding ring back from the jeweler before she came up to MT. She put together a custom design with some very special family diamonds. Natalie's great-great-grandma and great-grandma's wedding diamonds were put into a setting with her grandma's (my mom's). So, the ring on her finger with Natalie in her arms is why this photo is so precious to me. I was very close to both those grandma's who are now looking down from heaven.
Mom/Grammie, it was an absolute joy having you here for as long as you were! You knew when to step in and "force" me to rest. Thanks for the helping hands, encouraging words, and heartfelt hugs. WE LOVE YOU and MISS YOU!
It's ok to get emotional, I cried just reading about it, and you guys aren't even my family. Kids do it to you.
