For our precious daughter Natalie, 18 months has come and gone. She is officially 19 months old today...wowsers time is flying faster and faster!
For her 18 month milestone, I had a word document saved on my desktop that I would add to every time I would think of something else she could do at this age. Well, 18 months is gone forever for my dear sweet baby girl! Unbelievable!
So, here is to you, Natalie Grace, at 18 months old. At this age you:
-have 12 teeth...even split top and bottom
-are finally a bit more cuddly...its still hard for you to sit still...you are constantly a go-er
-interact with Aleah much more; my favorite is your high pitched HI when you go in to see her in her bed
-are very motherly towards Aleah: you offer her a drink, help change her diaper, try to feed her cereal, love to hold her, hold her hand, help her dance by holding her hands, and give her hugs and kisses
-love to read books...your favorites are probably the set of five with colors, numbers, shapes, first words, and abcs, Yes Day, and I Love You Through and Through
-Know many of your body parts: hair, head, nose, eyes, cheeks, lips, tongue, eyebrow, elbow, feet, knees, fingers, hands, toes, belly, bottom, potty
-can zip and now unzip
-try to do the snaps on Aleah's clothes
-LOVE to dance, preferably on the coffee table
-go up and down the stairs with no railing help
-are constantly running!
-have figured out how to climb into mom and dad's bed and are learning to jump
-LOVE pillow fights while mommy is trying to make she and daddy's bed
-tickle and tease us with your cold hands and feet
-love popcorn! fruit snacks, marshmallows, popsicles, and cheese are all close seconds.
-do what mom does with Aleah to your baby
-love puddles and don't mind getting muddy
-love to swing, slide, play in the fort under your slide, sit at your picnic table for snack time, mow with you mower, and help mom with any yard work you can...especially pulling dandylions
-follow directions very well: diaper in the diaper genie, clean/dust/wash with a rag, put (throw) dishes in the sink, get socks from your room, put shoes and jacket in the closet
-love to spin, roll, and play 'ready, set, go!'
-just started to really like 'ring around the rosey'
-want deodorant and makeup on when you see mommy doing either of these
-have to read a magazine while sitting on her potty seat (thanks to daddy)
-love to color, draw, put on stickers
-are very good about fold/hold for prayer before all meals and at bedtime. most nights when we finish praying just before bed you ask for more!
-new words: says please, thank you, help, mine, noah ava silas, and a lot of words we just don't understand...you are constantly talking
-can open the fridge, screen door, glass door to porch, and door to the garage
-can slide your crocs on all by yourself
-love playing with water...in the sink, from the hose, the dog water dish, just a bucket, a puddle, etc.
-love wearing my old yellow FCA ball cap
-often escape out the screen door and head over to the wood shop grass to sit with Buddy
-have made friends with a momma cat and her three kittens. you love to put the kittens soft fur up to your cheek. i'm not sure where you learned this from, but it is adorable...as long as the kittens can breathe!
Natalie Grace...we love you so much! What a joy you bring to our lives daily! A smile from you, or a squeeze while in our arms can cure almost anything!
