The start of a new year has arrived...
I CANNOT BELIEVE ITS 2014!
Wow how the time flies!
Our 2013 was full of so many blessings that I cannot imagine what He has in store for us in 2014!
Enjoy some of the fun memories from month numero uno in the new year!
The girls spent some time outdoors with Mimi in the little bit of snow we got while down in NE.
Cheers!
January 2nd--Grandpa John's first day back to work in 2014.
This events leading up to the moment in this picture were treacherous for these two!
After a day of decorating, baking, dressing up, practicing our "SURPRISE,"
and keeping a secret over his lunch break,
Grandpa John decided to work late on his first night as the new President of ACB.
We ended up waiting an extra 1.5 hours before we could celebrate with a cheers!
Celebrating Grandpa John's promotion to Bank President with his favorites: New York strips, baked potatoes, creamed peas, and red layer cake.
The wait was worth it!
Love these two!
January 7th, 2014.
Happy 3rd Birthday to our dear Aleah Lynn!
So shy while we sing Happy Birthday to her.
Whew...she got all three candles out in one blow!
Time for some gifts, showering her with love.
I cannot believe how grown up she looks in the picture!
I love this girl SO much! What joy she has brought to us all!
January 9th
Headed home to MT from NE in Daddy's new semi-truck.
He hauled a drop deck trailer for the Ford store up here, and on it we put our Expedition and enclosed trailer full of antique furniture I got as my Christmas present!
Such a fun way to travel!
This little baby was on the move in the truck every second she wasn't sleeping.
She may appreciate these travel arrangements more than the rest of us. I'm glad our memories don't recollect the days of being strapped in rear-facing carseats.
Time to move the snow that fell while we were away.
Two little tag-alongs were happy to help daddy!
It's like their toys are brand new when we get home from vacation!
Dress up is her favorite!
Time to play in the snow for these two.
They worked hard to fill the bucket on their tractor full and go dump it.
Maycie adoring her sisters at play outside.
Time to warm up and share some snuggles!
Did I mention his two little tag-alongs?
They love their daddy!
Maycie is giving kisses now!
She is 9 months and 2 days old in this picture.
I catch she and Natalie cuddling quite often like this on the couch.
These two look so much alike!
My newest little 'helper.'
On January 23rd, Tony took off for a 10 day missions trip to Haiti with a group of men from our church. With Papa and Nana down in AZ and he gone, the girls and I were on our own for a while.
Let the fun begin!
Showing off her 'So Big' talent.
Her first meal of spaghetti too!
Look at all that orange.
Her first sled ride by herself at 9 months old.
These two were eager to give her a pull.
They soon got tired of that and found a way to, as daddy says, "work smarter, not harder."
Much to my liking, they spun out quite a bit on the ice and couldn't go too fast for their baby sister!
Such good friends!
We came inside ready to warm up, only to find the power was out.
We spent about 4.5 hours without power. With the help of some flashlights and candles,
the fun didn't end! Natalie and Aleah were actually sad that the power came back on before supper time. They were looking forward to eating in the dark. I, on the other hand, was relieved!
My little helper is at it again.
Mom, can I get you something from the veggie drawer?
I opened it all by myself!
Sadly, Tony missed a few of Maycie's first's in the time he was gone to Haiti.
I don't have any pictures yet, but she is also starting to walk.
What fun that will be to show him when he comes home!
January 30th I was so happy to have one of my former students and players from Nashua join me for a playdate and supper. Waynetta and Hailea were fun to have around for an evening!
Thanks for making the drive up Waynetta. Memories are to be made with these four!
Jolly January...good times were shared!
