Growing up, I couldn't wait to hop off the bus and watch that show with my after school snack in hand, before starting my homework. Funny to think that someday I'd be feeling like I was Carmen...out and about, dropping clues for my friends to find me.
We have been going crazy traveling this summer. On June 14th, Tony and I headed to Nebraska for a family wedding. We spent a week with my family, enjoying the summer time weather and catching up. Upon our return, we then headed to California for a family wedding on Tony's side. Here we were able to sight see and meet/greet Tony's extended family, all the while being tourists in the San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Morro Bay areas. Finally, I headed out to Seattle (first time!) on the train (first time!) for an Advanced Placement Conference for school. I did a ton of sightseeing by foot, and was greeted by some friends from an hour south of Seattle for the final days.
So, if you've been looking for us, we're sorry that we've been gone, but loved every minute of it. Then again, I take home for granted at times, and it is so refreshing to walk through the front door and sleep in my bed and eat home cooked meals again.
School and harvest are both about to start. So if you're looking for either one of us...you'll know where to find us...hopefully!
