2 weeks & 3 days

I, unfortunately, tend to miss those actual whole week milestones and pictures of my babies...I could fib and say here are pictures of such and such at two weeks old, but that would be a lie.
So, here she is, Aleah Lynn, at two weeks and three days old!!!  :)

And here is Natalie across the room beaming with smiles!
She has now been a big sister for two weeks and three days...and a super good one at that!!!

LOVE YOU GIRLIES!!!!!

Bath Time!

Aleah's umbelical cord came off this past Sunday so she is finally ready for the bathtub!
If Natalie is in the same room as you and hears the B-A-T-H word, she is instantly up in the bathroom waiting right by the side of the tub, so we were curious to see how Aleah would do.

Let's just say that big sister enjoyed having some company in the tub.

Aleah, just hanging out!

Afterwards...so precious!

Natalie loves to brush her hair, as well as mine.  I can just hear her thoughts in this picture...
"Momma...can I brush sissy's hair too?"

Crazy to think that in a year there are going to be some MAJOR splashes coming from that tub!!
Oh what fun lies ahead!

Evidence

The above photo is evidence of a little girl who LOVES her Daddy very, very much!

Every time we head outdoors to play in the snow...
we MUST make a stop...
in Daddy's VERY DIRTY welding shop!

Christmas 2010 in 2011!

Grandpa and Grammie Hohlen finally arrived in MT on Saturday.  That night we decided to celebrate our Hohlen Christmas...mainly because Grammie couldn't wait to have Natalie open her gifts.  Here was the first one!  Natalie actually opened it before Daddy even made it in from the shop!

Pure Joy!

Horsey!!!

Showing Grandpa the picture that Mommy gave to Grammie of him!

I LOVE IT!

Daddy and Aleah exhausted after an exciting day!

Oh, and Carrie and Kevin...we loved the jumpsuit you gave Natalie...and the PICKLE for the xmas tree...did you know I wanted one of those for the kids?
LOVE YOU!!! Wish you could have come somehow...but we'll hopefully see you sooner than later!

She's here!

With a doctor that thought I'd still be a while, and the fact that I went past my due date with Natalie by four days, I did't expect to deliver as soon as God had in mind.

At about 4pm in the afternoon on Jan. 6th (my due date), I started having rather intense contractions, slowing down my afternoon and the dinner preparation process.  It got to the point where I almost called Tony to ask him to come in early from work, but God was all over that already.  The guys finished up a hopper by about 5pm and Tony sent them home for the weekend so he came in a bit early as well...THANKFULLY.  I had a feeling that we may make our due date afterall if things don't ease up.

With our bathroom remodel not yet finished at the farmhouse, we headed over to his parents' house to shower after we finished supper...not knowing this would be our last meal as a family of three.  It was around 8pm when I got out of the shower.  I called the nurses station at the hospital and filled them in about my contractions.  Living an hour away and knowing about the excitement of our snowy roads that lay ahead, they suggested we make our way to Glasgow to the hospital.

From there, the rest is history.  Our second little mystery was revealed to us the following day.  On Friday, January 7th, at 2:39pm, we were blessed with our second little girl...Aleah Lynn Fast!  She was born as healthy as could be, thanks be to God, and immediately stole our hearts.  Looking back, its hard to imagine life without her.  Natalie was definitely meant to be a big sister...she has enough love in her heart and kisses on her lips for a few more siblings down the road!  (NOT YET THOUGH!)

Here she is!!!

Super Sledder to the Rescue!!

On decent days when the temperature has been above 20 and the sun has been out, Natalie and I head out for some sled rides.  (Keep in mind this was pre-baby #2, so the most this pregnant momma would attempt was pulling Natalie around the yard on flat ground at a slow jogging pace.)  Well, thanks to Papa Warren, Natalie got the chance to take on her first hill or two.  (Well, snowpile that is!)  Listen for her belly laughs in the video...PRICELESS!!!

Happy Birthday Papa Warren!

Today is Papa Warren's birthday, and we are invited over for supper to help him celebrate tonight.  His gift from us was already given to him combined with his Christmas gift, and since I don't want to go over to his house empty handed, Natalie and I had some fun!

She looks likes she is enjoying it, right?

"Needs a bit more here."

OH MY...look at myself!

Finished...a masterpiece!

Afters...a bit messy!

Bath time!!  It's EVERYWHERE, but well worth it!

Nothing like a little homemade finger paint made that is edible and fun!  Hope Papa enjoys his gift from Natalie!

Her 1st Carhartts

To city-folk this is not a big deal, but to us country-lovers, a first pair of Carhartts is a big deal!  Well, I don't know if it is really THAT big of a deal, but Natalie sure is cute in her first pair!
(Thanks to H&K Wall and family for these overalls!)

Natalie and Daddy getting ready to get to work on the bathroom remodel.
She's all ready to 'help' in her Carhartt bibs!

So proud!

Quack, Meow, Moo

What does a duck say?  What does a kitty cat say?  What does a cow say?
If you are not sure...listen to little Miss Natalie's answers...she'll help you out!

Snowmobile Bunny

Natalie got to go on her first snowmobile ride with Daddy just a few days after Christmas.  She really enjoyed riding with him!

After her ride, he got out for some time of his own with the guys!

Christmas 2010

Christmas Eve church service, Dec. 24, 2010.  Crazy to look back to last year's Christmas Eve family picture of us with baby Natalie back in NE (Click here to see!).  Oh, what a year it has been!

Christmas morning...Natalie opening her stocking that Santa filled.

Digging in.

A new sippy cup...you will see LOTS more of this in the pictures to come...she rarely put it down!  (Keep in mind that there is nothing in the cup...just air)

Santa left Natalie a rocking chair.

Opening gifts from under the tree.

Yeah, a new puzzle.  (see the orange cup?)

With mommy.

Oh no...which one???

The orange one wins!  New plates for eating like a big girl!

Rocking in her chair, with sippy cup in hand.

Checking out our "White Christmas!"

"MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!"

Daddy's new ammo for his new gun...he was excited!

Christmas Day at Papa and Nana's house.  She loves her Nana!

Time for gift opening.  A tea set!

A puzzle from Uncle Craig and Aunt Lindsay!  YEAH!!
