October 2013

October 1st began with a milestone for Maycie.
She ate her first baby food (sweet potatoes), and really liked it.
(5.5 months)

Such a sweetie!  Love her to pieces!

One of the their favorite things to do...spread out all of the books we check out from the library when we get home "so we can see them and pick our favorite."

My adorable little book lovers!

Saggy Maggie has become a warm and cuddly place for the kitties
now that our nights are starting to get cold.

Couldn't resist a picture of this talent!

Oh, their little imaginative minds...so precious!

A photo of us girls...joined by naked photo bomber Reese!
My dear friend Kristine came on a Friday night, spent the night, stayed up much too late for some girl chat with me, and then set up her mobile camper full of gently used kids clothes the next day.
Shopping in Lustre...I think so!
What a fun two days we had...and she was liked so much that the Lustre shoppers
requested she come back sometime in the spring!  YAY!

We headed down to Nebraska for some post-harvest fun with my side of our family on Wed., Oct. 16th.  The trip was a complete surprise to Mimi.  We showed up in her classroom on Thursday after school and after her huge gasp of surprise and quite a few tears from her, I, and a handful of fellow teachers, the fun began.  The entire family was able to be home for most of our time down there due to fall break.  Grandpa John took a couple days off, and we were able to get Mimi some days off from school as well.

Aleah rode the motorcycle with Uncle Brian to the playground.

Some fun on the playground at Mimi's school!

A sister race.

Uncle Biff was shocked at how much Maycie grew since he saw her last in August.

Check out this talented stud muffin I get to call mine!
Love him!

Tony, Maycie, Amy

Trying for a family photo.  Notice how I was trying to balance Maycie without her falling on the ground!

Walking home after our fun playdate.

Had to stop at the Juniata Park on the way home.

Some LOTS of fun on the trampoline!

Grandpa John and his kitties.  Just like I thought he'd die before he ever get a smartphone (and now he and Siri are bests), I thought he'd die before ever getting attached to a cat.  Boy was I wrong!

Great-Grandma Colleen and Maycie.
This photo makes my heart smile!

Time for a family photoshoot!

Four-wheeling it with Aunt Carrie.

Feeding the cows a snack of overripe garden tomatoes.

Tony in a GREEN combine helping out my Uncle Ronnie.

The girls playing in the truck full of corn.

We also got to spend some really fun cousin time with Addilyn and Harrison along with Tony's brother Craig, and his wife Lindsay.  It was a memorable, fun-filled day!
You can see photos of our fun with the cousins by clicking here!

When we got home, it was officially fall turned winter in MT.
Time to clean up the leaves!

Aleah was not sure about the leaf blower.  She stayed as far away as possible.  You can see her on the left and Tony with the leaf blower on the right.

They girls had fun in the piles of leaves dad made for them!

Natalie wanted to dress up as the angel Gabriel for Bible character night at Awana.  This is what we came up with.  She LOVED her halo!
(Recognize this dress Randell?)

Maycie is getting stronger.  She is now 6 months and wants so badly to get on the move to try to keep up with her sisters.  Here is her latest strength trick...up on all fours!

Maycie Sophia at 6 months.
Her first Halloween.
Such a sweet little pumpkin!

We celebrated Natalie's 4th birthday a bit early since Papa and Nana would
already be snowbirding in AZ on her real birthday.

Barbies!

Check out this cool dudette showing off her new sunglasses.
HILARIOUS!
She got a small gift on Natalie's birthday for fun...it was a hit!

Natalie, Nana, Maycie, Aleah, and Papa...all smiles one last time
before saying goodbye for the winter!

Happy Halloween!
Aleah, The Fairy Godmother, and Ava and Natalie, the ballerinas.
We were happy to have Ava join us for trick-or-treating in Glasgow.
She was the only one already over the flu bug that was passing through her family.

The sickies: Silas, Noah, Sarah, and Virginia.
So sad.  Don't worry though, we did bring them back some treats...
which may have been a mean trick since they weren't able to eat any yet because of the flu?!?!?!

Trick-or-treating at Papa and Nana's.
Maycie was "Fifi" the poodle.

Such a fun-filled October!
Lots of great memories made and blessings shared!
Now on to November...
