Thanksgiving Weekend

My entire family was able to join us up here in MT for Thanksgiving weekend, and to meet Natalie for the first time. They arrived at our home late Wednesday night.

Here you can see that Natalie had mastered her "ear muffs" for when the noisy Hohlen's arrived.

On Thanksgiving Day the boys headed out for a drive to show new Aunt Sarah around. They dropped her off and then went up north in search of some hunting. Us gals stayed home and watched the Thanksgiving Day parade and got ready for the day ahead. At about noon we headed up to the farm to Nana and Papa Fast's house. This was Natalie's first trip up to the farm!

When we arrived we were greeted by Duane and Shirley Nasner, Tony's Uncle and Aunt. Also there was Scott and Jen Nasner and their son Xavier, and Great-Grandparents Harvey and Gladys.

We shared a wonderful meal thanks to Nana DeeDee and the rest of the gals that provided some side dishes!

Unfortunately Natalie's feeding schedule that day hit at the same time as our noon and supper meals. I am still getting used to this!

After lunch a group of the grown-ups headed outside to see Papa Warren's remote control car in action. Also present was Great-grandpa Harvey's old-man scooter that he has in the shop. I'm not sure which one we enjoyed the most!

Having troubles getting the remote control car started.

Deciding who still has enough energy to keep trying to start the car.
It finally happened!

Look out...here it comes...

Tony and Grandpa John set up a ramp for the car!

Over the ramp!

Uncle Duane and Cousin Xavier on Great-Grandpa's scooter.

Who knew that Aunt Sarah had it in her to steal an old man's scooter??? :)

The Hohlen gals enjoying eachother's company, and some fresh air after a great meal!

On Friday the boys headed outside to finish the siding on the last two sides of our house. We are so thankful for their help!!!
In the meantime, the girls stayed inside and decorated our home for Christmas. Thanks ladies!
Saturday came and the boys went out hunting again. This time they had a ton of luck and were able to get six grouse and one other something or other...I cannot remember what it was right now! No pheasants though!
That afternoon us gals met up with Nana DeeDee and Great-Gma Gladys for a baby shower at the church. We are so blessed to have such an amazing church family!!! God is good!
After this we headed home and Grammie Lynn prepared her famous "Pheasant nuggets" even though it was a different bird than pheasant. We also had chicken enchilada casserole in case the wild game didn't go over so well. Thankfully it did!
Our good friends the Runner's came over to see the family on their last night in MT.
Natalie enjoying Noah's company!...and vice versa as well!

Seth and Virginia were kind enough to take a family photo of us all while here in Montana.
Thanks to our dear friends...especially for your patience!

Our time with the whole family went so fast. We were so delighted that they were all able to make the trip and cannot wait to see them down in Nebraska in less than a month. We'll see how much Natalie has grown by then!

Oh, and one more thing....

Guess who didn't let us know that she was a diaper changing professional until the last day of their stay??
WE LOVE YOU AUNTIE SARAH and are SOOO happy to have you in our family!
