April Showers...2014
Notice that I didn't say what kind of showers.
Rain showers are so nice.
Snow showers...well that's become a swear word around here!
To a farmer, moisture is moisture.
But, to a farmer's wife with three little girls eager to play outside in warm weather, it's no longer welcome around here!!! :)
Anyways, enough from me.
On to the blessed happenings in the Fast household during April.
The end of Awana came at the beginning of the month.
Here is Natalie with her fellow Cubbies and some of leaders.

DeeDee has been cleaning out some stuff from her house and ran across this gem.
Even as a young boy, Tony was dreaming of semi trucks and heavy loads on trailers.
He hasn't changed a bit!
Well, except for the fact that he's not drawing pictures of semis and trailers any more.
He is always dreaming of them though!
I SO love him!!
Finally nice enough to open up the gravel box.
Lately Maycie has a couple of signature faces.
This would be one of them.

Walking back from spending time at Nana's.

Aleah: "Look mommy, it's a cucumber for Daddy!"
Me: "Why do you say that?"
Aleah: "Look at it mommy, it has a 'T' for Tony in it!"
One of the two 'new brothers' that have moved in with us until the end of the school year.
Meet Chris.
He's from Seattle.
He's a senior.
He's a hoot.
He's a great helper.
He's a great big brother!
On Good Friday a giant box arrived with Easter candy and gifts for the girls from NE.
Two words: Chocolate bunny.
Something new for this girl!

Dying Easter eggs on Saturday night.
Note the iPad...we skyped with the Hohlens so they could join in on the fun.
Maycie roamed around while we dyed eggs.
Their finished products. I think the girls were more proud of the colorful paper towels that the eggs dried on instead of the eggs.
Easter morning we woke up to hidden Easter eggs and baskets with some fun surprises and candy.
Someone was excited to use her new headlamp while searching for Easter eggs!

It wouldn't be Easter Sunday without some indian leg wrestling.
A first for both of our 'new sons,' Jake and Chris!
Jake was whooping up on Chris over and over, so Uncle Duane tried to offer him some pointers.
Sadly it did no good!
Chris still lost over and over!
Time for the cousins egg hunt.
All of the kids were waiting patiently, eyes closed and all.

And last but not least, this is how you know you're married to a true farmer!
I cut up and seeded a red pepper for lunch one day.
Tony rescued all the seeds to dry them out so don't have to buy seed or small plants from the store.
Again, love him so!
